I am a resident of Haddon Hurst and my 5 year old daughter attended the Fallston Pre-K school.  This past summer I discovered that the pre-school's well had been contaminated with MTBE and TAME since 2002.  Hundreds of children were subjected to this contamination because the school wasn't required to take action or notify parents.  I have been working with Senator Hooper, Scott Gibson (Senator Hooper's aide) and Delegate JB Jennings to draft and present proposed legislation in Annapolis that would require all private, preschool and daycare facilities (using non-transient water systems) to notify parents, guardians, teachers and staff if any foreign substances are found in their water.

It was suggested that we collect 2,000 signatures to be presented along with this draft legislation.  We have petitions posted at five  locations at this time.  Wawa (Rte. 152 & 165) on the bulletin board by the ATM machine; Kids First Swim School in Forest Hill; Chic Nails in the Harford Mall; Fallston Community Pre-K (at Presbyterian Church) and St. Francis deSales Preschool on Abington Road. Please take a moment to stop by any of these locations and sign the petition (please note that your information will only be used for this petition and no other purpose).

If anyone is willing to help by collecting signatures, has a suggestion of another location to post the petition, please let me know and I will forward a copy of our petition sheet onto you.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can offer.
